Verified ReviewerDesign mistake that I paid for DEARLY
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! We had a designer come out to take measurements and she was so lovely, I really liked her.
Unfortunately she did not listen to my husband when he told her what closet depth we wanted and we did not check her work... it never occurred to us that A. she would not listen and B. that she would not use the entire space we had available for the closet.
Pan to 2 weeks later when my husband finished preparing the space (he had surgery so couldn't do the work right away) and we looked at the plans only to discover the discrepancy of over 4 inches!!! I contacted her straight away (at this point the install was 2 days away) and told her what happened. She said there was nothing she could do and I would have to speak to a manager. After 6 calls and messages he finally got back to me to tell me that there was absolutely nothing that he could do for me since the pieces were already cut.
I am a repeat customer and was willing to pay for the difference in price for the correct measurement. He said there was nothing that could be done and that they would keep our deposit of $1023.00 and that I could find someone else to work with.
To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I wish I had read the reviews on this company before deciding to hire them again because they really and truly do not care about their reputation or their customers.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. Michelle from the customer service department reached out to me after she had been dealing with my bbb review.
She was so sweet to me, listened to my frustrations with the company and even though she didn't do it to me she apologized on the companies behalf.
After Steve refused to give me the VP name and hanging up in my face she did give it to me and she spoke with him directly. Michelle went to bat for me and I was issued a full refund that has hit both of my accounts officially today..
I was so excited to get my closet and if you take the time out to read these lengthy emails I sent to them you will understand my experience. To summarize PLEASE ASK ABOUT BACKING!!!!!!!! I didn't even know what backing was. The lady never explained it to me and I am so glad the installer told me about it.
He said once he pulls out the closet its going to look horrible. You will see every nail, glue, hole and looking at peoples pictures I thank God I didn't go through with it. The supervisor Chris/Corey whatever his name is said it would be an additional $1000 like that's just nothing. I no longer wanted to proceed with installation and they refused to give me my money back stating either you do the backing or we take down the closet and you get it painted.
I asked to speak to the manager and was told Steve was in a meeting. He said he would have him call me back. They then charged my card the account balance without my approval over $1000. I eventually speak to Steve who is talking to me like I am the issue and I want something for free.
So rude... then says I'll give you the backing for $400. At this point I feel defeated like I'm just not going to get my money back. So I agree.
He says I'll send someone out Friday. Then last night I started reading the reviews and looking at some of the peoples pictures and how they destroyed their closet and I'm like I'm so stupid why didn't I read these before. I immediately find this so called client issue email they have and write the first email which is pictured. Today which is a Wednesday I call and ask to cancel Friday's appointment and they transfer me to Cory.
Oh great! Its whatever at this point. He says hold I'll transfer you to someone who can help you. He then transfers me to Steve.
Do you know this old man decided to get on the phone and practically bully me about my review. Stating I know you didn't want to talk to me but I don't appreciate you writing that email to my VP about me with all those false accusations. I am like excuse me. He's like yeah I got a call from my VP asking what this email was all about and you lied and said I was going to charge you $400 for a chore to be moved over and I was like huh I didn't say that in the email I said you were charging me $400 for backing that I didn't even know I needed.
And you were being recorded so he heard the conversation and nothing was wrong with what I did. He proceeds to tell me how I won't be getting my money back and I signed a contract stating after 3 days they can keep my deposit. I mean this man is outrate and is going off on me. Telling me how wrong I am and I keep calling up here trying to speak to people higher then him and he's not the manager he's the district manager and no one is above him but the VP and the Board of Directors and I said well what's their number so I can tell them about how you are speaking to me he said I'm not giving it to you and I said I bet you won't and since you are recording people without their consent record this conversation and make sure he hears how you speak to your customers because you got on my phone to bully me about a review I wrote to what I thought was a private email to discuss the manner at hand.
So I will be contacting that email again which is also pictured, my bank, an attorney, and writing a review on every website there is. He said I don't care write whoever you want and get whatever attorney you want and then hung up on me. PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS YOU WILL REGRET THIS DECISION THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. They had a chance to make this right and give me my money back.
But now I am forced to let the rest of the world know who you guys really are... a company who are scammers and need to be shut down!E EE

We had a designer, Dina Mull come out to our home to quote for a new master suite closet. Our one main request out of the entire design was a specific tie and belt drawer. The designer came up with a great idea of two pull out drawers (like a spice rack in a kitchen) on each side of the built-in drawers. We said, great, we love that!
Fast forward to six weeks or so when they came to install. By the way, the installers were great. Very nice, efficient and clean. Towards the end I asked where the two pull out drawers were and he said it wasn't in the design.
First mistake... make sure whatever you are asking for is in the drawing! Our designer said she was going to take care of it. We even met her for a second time to discuss it and she said yes, it was going to be included. Unbeknownst to us, she didn't take care of it and when we brought it to her attention, she said, yes, it was supposed to be in the design. She admitted it twice on a recording that it was supposed to be included. Well, it wasn't. After sending the recording our their sales person saying it was supposed to be in the design, they still wouldn't back it because they said we signed off on the drawing. Well, how the *** were we supposed to know that the "drawing" had to reflect what we specifically asked for. That wasn't explained to us at all. I didn't know that I needed to be a 1st grade teacher to check the sales reps homework before she turned it in. The company wouldn't budge and instead are bringing us a tie rack that you can get at target for $15 for our $9500 closet.
Whatever happened to the customer is always right? I mean, the sales rep said twice that it was supposed to be included. I would have gladly had this company back to finish the rest of our closets but their lack of caring and customer service is exactly why I will tell everyone to not use them. I sell over 40 homes a year and I would have gladly passed on to every single client what a great job they did but this is where they fell short. They didn't even make any attempt to figure out a compromise. They just wanted to stick with what was in the design that was submitted to them. The sales rep took NO responsibility.
I rarely write reviews but this entire process of how they handled it was really disheartening for the amount of money a person is spending. You are far better off to go with a different company all together.
Preferred solution: I would like them to make right on what our designer promised us and even admitted to. But I doubt that is going to happen.

I paid a price of $1750 for a closet that lasts for less than 10 months, yet I had to pay another $60 out of my own pocket for ClosetWorld's mistake. My professional carpenter examined the faulty installation on site and explained that the damage was clearly an installation error not an user error.
There are FIVE hinges in total on each door. But the hinge that falls off is neither from the TOP TWO nor from the MIDDLE TWO, but the BOTTOM ONE - which is the lowest. You might hang on the top of the door to apply force to detach the top two hinges, or forcefully pull the door handle(located at the middle of the door) to detach the middle two. However, the one that actually came off is the BOTTOM one that receives the least amount of stress/force possible which contradicts ClosetWorld's "forced out" argument.
Also, the original holes drilled to attach the bottom hinge has unequal depth with one much shallower than the other which clearly shows the faulty installation to start with. When I asked ClosetWorld to come up with a scenario that could detach the bottom hinge, even he himself was speechless. Is it even possible for someone to sit on the floor to use a hammer to apply a force upward to detach the bottom hinge of a closet that costs $1750? Even if it were, there was too little space between the bottom of the door and the floor to even insert a hammer to apply a force.
If it's indeed an error on my side, I'd be happy to even pay the full price of $120. Otherwise, I hate to pay even a penny. After all, if a product only lasts for less than 10 months, I shouldn't even be charged for $1750, as I could easily get a cheaper one at IKEA even with full warranty.
Sadly, ClosetWorld choose to rip off their customers, as it is how they do business. I am writing this honest review just to warn people not to become ClosetWorld's another victim.

Will not recommend this company. They don't have professional team, designer was new and I guess our project was his first one.
They come measure and than do the office work at your place and that was very inconvenient.
They wanted to get job and were doing drawing and calculation at our house, don't they have office? Closet looks unfinished and poor.

The worst experience, by far! Stay away!
Everything about the product is misleading. Everything you expect to get is additional cost.
Ridiculous! You are better off going to Home Depot and building yourself. Much nicer looking and the quality of material is so much better for a quarter of the price! I tried to cancel and was flat out told there was no canceling.
Every time I asked something the response was, “ that’s an additional cost”. They did not try in any way to fix problem or help with the situation. The boards where chipped when they where brought in. I ordered a desk.
Not once did they mention the desk counter top would be in three pieces. Looks terrible. I will have to eat the cost as I have no other choice. I will not use the desk.
I expected a professional polished looking closet and desk. NOT the case. The adjustment holes are visible everywhere. I would expect that they would at least have covers.
Not the case. So cheap looking.
Expensive and disappointing
I usually don't write bad reviews but I feel this review is important.
I didn't read the reviews on this company so I partially blame myself for hiring them.
1- A designer (Julian) nice gal and seemingly understanding what we wanted which was simple. We want a hanging closet, no drawers with the option to add sliding doors at another time.
what we got was a book shelf with hanging rods that made the hanging clothes half way out. NO WAY CAN WE ADD sliding doors now without paying to REDO the whole thing which by the way isn't cheap. After my husband talked to Richard on the phone he felt we had to go thru with the installation.
I called her to CANCEL the rest of the installation after catching the installer half way thru the installation. She reminded me I was in a CONTRACT. Wow! what a come back. It was fixable but they just want their money. So here I go warning all that will listen. Don't trust the designer to measure and listen to your needs. Basically this is Home Depot quality and you should just buy the material at a hardware store then hire a handy man to install. It would be 1/2 the price. Hire a contractor if you want real quality work.
2- Richard (phone contact thru the installer) talked to my husband and told us if we wanted the clothes not to hang out of the closet that it would cost us $900 more. WTF!! I am so disappointed with our new closet. And now I have to look at it everyday until I can afford to fix it.
3-On a good note Oscar (the installer) was a nice kid. He was in a hurry to get it installed. In fact when I told him to stop he just kept cutting pieces. I am sure at his bosses (Richard) direction. He did a good job even though the measurements were not to our liking.
I just don't understand who in the *** would want their clothes hanging out of their closet and obviously when we go to buy sliding doors they will nail us with more cost.

They're AWFUL , they will destroy your home, try to make it seem as if you're wrong. I would love to see a class action suit .
